Lazos Profundos is an artwork that reflects the essence of María José’s work. The manual labor and the hours devoted to weaving different textiles in order to appeal to the audience’s sensibility, inviting them to dive deep in subjects such as relationships and bonding.

In her own words: “Mi artwork is a visual line of my unconscious. It is presented to me as a cryptic message that I try to interpret. I notice a double game between what I’m looking to express in each work and what is finally exhibited before my eyes.

This shows the magic of a non-controlled result. It is a channel of obsessions, shadows and resonances. It is about integrating opposites through bonding.
